Restaurant Marketing Tool: Free Twitter Guide from the Government
Posted by Michael Hartzell
Is your restaurant not into Twitter yet? Don't know much about Social Media tools or how to use them? This Twitter for Business page has all you need to learn and follow best practices when using social media. Successful restauranteurs are always finding new ways to reach out and connect with their guests.
Even the CDC has gone as far as to create an informative pdf which explains in great details best practices. Free of course. I have added the pdf to list of free resources at Twitter Tips.
CDC pdf guide talks about Twitter as micro-blogging, which in essence is true. How to use this tool as more than a micro-blog is up to you.
Whether social media is right for a restaurant or not seems to be a silly question. Since the restaurant business has always been about connecting with people, the new tools of the modern age simply give more opportunity to reach out further than the four walls. Listening is first and foremost, don't forget.
Get stuck? @coachrestaurant is me. Send me a tweet. Request to follow me. If you are not a hyped up spammer or pushy sales person, I am sure to connect with you. @michaelhartzell covers a broader range of business and personal topics. It's my "fun" place too.
Take Aways:
- Follow CDC emergency.
- Set aside time to read one of the pdf guides on Twitter for your business.
- Follow me. @coachrestaurant or @michaelhartzell
- The restaurant business is already in the "social" business. Use the tools which help do it more easily.
