NEWS: Google Launches eBook Affiliate Program for ebookstore
Google has an ebookstore where the books can be read on just about any device with an Internet connection. This may be a great guerrilla marketing weapon for the small business owner who is interested in staying on the cutting edge. Title the ebook with keyword rich phrase as one of your inbound marketing tactics.
Beginning June 17, Google has launched an affiliate program where affiliates can link to Google eBooks on their websites and earn a commission for referring sales to the Google eBookstore.

Any site can apply for the program and become part of the Google Affiliate Network but it does require an adsense account.

The opportunities grow to be an author. Just as my dad has published two books, your next step might be to publish a book. Dad used CreateSpace and found the company very supportive.
If you want to add a bookstore to your website via Googles API's, there are a couple of options.

Even if this does not directly apply to your small business, watching the trends of tablet pc's and ebooks may have a new tide where reading a book with an advertisement built in might be a wave of the future.
What will you write about or would you prefer to be the advertiser? Will the new gadgets increase the number of people reading? 100 year old books may become new again.
If reading is on your list, Goodreads is a great option for tracking what you read, getting recommendations and even starting your own book club:

The answer to the question: "Who will sell your book?" is "Anyone and everyone" via Amazon and Google affiliates.
