Social Media Science Webinar at Hubspot with Dan Zarrella

You do social media marketing for business? Meet Dan Zarralla.  Dan is a social media scientist.  He talks about unicorns and rainbows.

Why do:

- people make business decisions based on feel and not science?

- entrepreneurs use their gut more than math?

Elephants have less babies but live longer.  How is this relevant to social media and marketing?  Dan Zarrella will teach you the significance of this and much more.

Sure enough, let me introduce you to Dan:

Dan Zarrella, author of The Social Media Marketing Book, is an award-winning social, search, and viral marketing scientist. Dan studies social media behavior from a data-backed position enabling him to teach marketers scientifically grounded best practices.

What is a "data-backed position"?  Ask him.  Give Dan a tweet at @danzarrella on Twitter.

Yes, you have heard too much about "social media marketing".  Too much hype and not enough meat.

Put everything else down (including this blog) and watch the video recording.

This is a true gift.  This presentation by Dan is packed full.

Truly, I do get overenthusiastic at times, which may turn you off.  Each day in the email inbox you have messages that say:  "last day", "four more left", and "before this goes away".  Hype, taunting and pressure are used within your own email inbox.

This is not about hype nor will you be taunted with "last day".  This presentation about science and social media will show you why the things you see may not be true.  Instead of pressure and opinion, there are case studies and graphs.

Enough said?  Here are the slides which gives a very small sampling.  While many of the graphs and charts are helpful, you will not be able to fully apprecriate the wisdom without watching the presentation itself.

It will change the way you not only view marketing in the virtual world but will also influence how you think about your overall marketing strategy in the 21st century.

Did I mention that the presentation is free?
