Which search engine is most important for your business?  The answer lies within your customer base.  However, assuming you are unsure which customers are using which search engine to find your company's products and services, here is the latest news about search engine.

Google received almost 70 percent of U.S. searches

New York, N.Y., April 7, 2010 - Experian® Hitwise® announced today that Google accounted for 69.97 percent of all U.S. searches conducted in the four weeks ending March 27, 2010. Yahoo! Search, Bing and Ask received 15.04 percent, 9.62 percent and 3.44 percent, respectively. The remaining 69 search engines in the Hitwise Search Engine Analysis Tool accounted for 1.93 percent of U.S. searches

Describe your business items in more descriptive three word phrases.

There is a change in the way Google is looking at the Internet world.  Watch the search results and note how the local listings, photos, videos, news, and social media are being included in the mix.  It is no longer about just a website page for business.

Sounds about right. Those numbers reflect the same ones we see on our portfolio of websites, even the ones outside the US or ones that are international in focus. Though our numbers show slightly higher for Google usage and no referrals from ask.com.
